Jasper Municipal Swimming Pool

Hours of operation:

The pool is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with twilight swim every other Wednesday evening starting June 1st from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Cost

• Family season coupon books with 20 passes are available at the ticket booth for $50.00.
• General admission to the pool is $4.00 and children under 4 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Private parties

The pool can be rented in the evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The fee is $80.00 per hour, plus sales tax (payable upon completing lease agreement). An additional $2.00 admission per person with a minimum of 25 people is due the night of the party (no coupon books). There is a lease agreement that has to be signed by both the lessee and the city. Call the pool at (812) 482-1789 and ask for the manager to set up a date and time to meet and go over the lease agreement. The manager will be available 12:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. once the pool has opened for operation.

Lessons

Swim lessons will also be offered for the 2022 season. Lessons will run Monday through Friday for 2-week sessions as listed below.  

Pre-school sessions will follow the same dates but will be offered from 6:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. each evening.  An adult must be present and in the water with their child for each class. 

Registration will be taken for the entire summer for the various sessions.  Please call the pool at 812-482-1789 to sign up.  Children will be limited to one session until all have had a chance to enroll.  If a vacancy exists, enrollment will then be accepted for the second and third sessions.  The fee must be paid prior to each session.  

Classes will be held everyday regardless of the weather.  In case of inclement weather, classes will be held in the locker room. The temperature must be at least 70 degrees to enter the water.  No refunds will be made.  Questions may be directed to the pool at 812-482-1789 or to Recreation Director Janessa Wagner at 812-482-5959.  

     Cost for lessons

           Pre-school: $30.00 for City of Jasper residents, $40.00 for non-residents. 

           Levels I-VI: $40.00 for City of Jasper residents, $50 for non residents. 

1st Session June 6-June 17

9am-Level III, IV, V, VI

10am-Level I,II,III,IV

2nd Session June 20-July 1

9am-Level III, IV, V

10am-Level I, II, III, IV

3rd Session-July 11-July 22

9am-Level I, II, III, IV

Each class will be 45 minutes.  There are no prerequisites for Level I.  The prerequisites for Level II-VI are successful completion of the course preceding each level or a demonstration of the completion requirements of the preceding levels.
